ForeverBlue

This was my very first Oneshotwednesday post.  I posted it on the tumblr site and got some very kind comments on it. I've always liked it for sentimental...clearly...reasons. I am posting again in an effort to have all my oneshot posts in one place for my own reference. The pity is I don't remember what I posted on the two or three weeks after this before I moved to a new blog.

you fade only slightly with time
not like blue jeans

turning soft and
then threadbare

you fade only slightly in intensity
and then you POP back like polyester

lasting longer than the universe
bright-- catching the sun

cheap-- sometimes tacky

but forever

Little shiny spots show wear

but overall you stay the same

I’d like to give you to Goodwill
but I don’t think it’s possible

you’re too difficult to repair and resell
they wouldn't know

what to do with you
