Birthday Poem

Consider this Christmas
On the day of Christ's birth
the miracle that is
YOU

A single snowflake
like no other
An oak leaf
one of many on its tree
A shell
which has traveled oceans
A star
Born of light, giving light

YOU
family vessel
inheritor of history,
progenitor to the future

YOU
belong only to yourself
By being, you have made a difference
Singular, you establish change

YOU
think, design, create and give

YOU
yourself are a gift from God

YOU
will always be loved

YOU
are
UNIQUE!

  7. Your message of hope, love, & fellowship brims with Christ consciousness & cosmic truths. As terror & strife continue to surround us, how fortunate we poets of the dVerse fellowship really are, how blessed. I am humbled & thankful to have been given a place at the poetic table, to be invited to the feast, & to the Pub a couple times a week; so may it continue.

  15. A beautiful inspiring poem. Without the love of God, too many would be loved by no one. It is a cruel world for some.
