"A happy New Year! Grant that I May bring no tear to any eye When this New Year in time shall end Let it be said I've played the friend, Have lived and loved and labored here, And made of it a happy year." ----Edgar Guest
See what you mean about Williams, but this reminds me more of a collage of song refrains, sort of stream of conscious-like interruptions of thought and initiated thought-shifts that spring up because of them. It has a feel of new beginnings to it, and I hope this year brings the start of many good things to you, Gay. Thanks again, because I can never say it enough, for all your friendship and support.
You too Maureen. Really appreciate your support this last year. Looking forward to reading your poems in 2012. Thank you for being there! Hope it's your best year ever!!!
gay this has a wicked flow and some fab word play...so glad that you are a part of our team at dverse...i wish you all the best in the coming year...happy new year!
this has a wonderful flow gay and oh time...sometimes i wish we could hold it for a bit...but good we can't... like brian says above - i'm beyond thankful that you're a part of the dVerse team gay..you have so many treasures under your wings ... big thanks for all you're doing and to a wonderful, poetic 2012..

And so the round begins again from its ground zero, another trek, another address, another pile of hopes and disappointments: The more rounds we make, the heavier the burden seems ... I loved the free-falling, free-associating musing in this poem, as if the vantage was from a third glass of champagne just after midnight, staring out the window at the dark, considering ... Fine work. Happy New Year's - Brendan
